2008 Coachmen Freelander 2890-QB
Chevy Class C
August 30, 2013
Thank You For
Family Owned 2008
Coachmen Freelander 2890-QB Motorhome
This is our very nice family owned 29 foot long motorhome for sale. This vehicle has nine
(9) seat belted riding positions, and eight (8) sleeping positions. The rear
bedroom has a full queen size bed with a new upgraded mattress, two can sleep in the over cab bunk area,
and the dinette and couch both convert to double beds. With the on-board
generator, you can set up to stay just about anywhere, with air
conditioning and central heating, refrigerator and freezer, microwave
oven, propane stove and oven, bathroom, toilet, shower, AM/FM CD stereo,
LCD TV with DVD player, and outdoor awning. Living in this kind of luxury is
hardly called camping; It's RVing.
This is a Chevy Workhorse powertrain and Coachmen motorhome that is very easy to
drive, with a powerful 6.0 Liter V-8 fuel injected
efficient gasoline engine, and an automatic transmission with overdrive.
It also has a rear 2 inch receiver trailer hitch, if you wanted to pull a
tow another car, or just slide in a five bicycle rack like we do.
Our kids absolutely love to safely ride
their bikes around the RV parks. This very nice 29 foot long motorhome for
sale, has nine (9) seat belted riding positions, that in addition to RVing,
could also be used to bus kids around to local church or sporting events.
The beauty of owning a motorhome, verse a travel trailer,
is in the drive. Once you're on the road, the only thing you have to
stop for is fuel, and with such a big fuel tank, you don't even have to stop
for fuel too often. You can make great time traveling up and down the
coast, or across the country. The kids can sit seat-belted at the
dinette or on the couch. Since you have your own bathroom, you never
have to stop for potty breaks, and you can use your own full kitchen with
fridge, stovetop, oven, double sink, microwave oven, and counter top to
prepare great meals while you're cruising on the highway. While you're
driving, the kids can even watch DVD movies on your flat screen television.
As much as we hate to part with our wonderful motorhome, our children's
educational expenses come first. Since we have started private middle school
this year with our
oldest child, we're going to have to take a break from RVing.
Our family has had some
incredible memories in this fantastic motorhome, taking our kids to Walt
Disney World, New Orleans, North and South Carolina, Niagara Falls, Boston,
and other local campgrounds, and we would want nothing more, than to
know another family will be enjoying this motorhome as much as we have. If
you haven't tried out RVing for your family, we definitely recommend giving
an RV vacation a try, and experiencing the excitement and togetherness a
family RV trip will bring you.
If you are completely new to RVing, please know that I will spend all the
time you need, showing you how everything works, or even driving advise and
practice, until our buyer feels very comfortable in this fantastic motorhome.
The size of driving a motorhome can be
intimidating, but please know that with proper guidance and practice, you
can soon feel confident and comfortable behind the RV wheel. If you
would like, I can start you out in a safe no-pressure parking lot, teach you the basics
of driving, backing up, parking, using your mirrors, using spotters. Even if you don't want to buy our motorhome, please feel free to
contact me regarding RVing advise.
Our great motorhome has a clear Maryland title without
any lien, and our wonderful motorhome is legally on the road, with
current tags and insurance. Feel free to contact us, to make
arrangements to come see this very impressive RV motorhome.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs
1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your
heart 2 For they will prolong your life many years and bring you
peace and prosperity. 3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and
humankind. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on
your own understanding 6 In all your ways submit to him, and he will
make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear
the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and
nourishment to your bones. 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with
the first fruits of all your crops 10 Then your barns will be filled
to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. 11 My
son, do not despise the LORD's discipline, and do not resent his
rebuke 12 Because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father
the son he delights in. 13 Blessed are those who find wisdom, those
who gain understanding 14 For she is more profitable than silver and
yields better returns than gold. 15 She is more precious than
rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
Known Issues: The vinyl decal striping, mostly on the
driver's left side is cracking, but you can only really see well in person, or if you
look very closely on the photos.
Two small areas of cabinetry
contacting the floor area around the dinette, are showing slight signs of swelling
under the laminate wood surface,
possibly from preassembly moisture contact.
Both of these know issues are
pretty minor, but never-the-less should be disclosed.
I have contacted
the Coachmen factory to see if there is any goodwill Coachmen can provide,
and was verbally told that we could possibly get the parts at a discounted factory cost.
Personally, I'm very happy with the motorhome, just as it is,
but I also wanted to be completely honest to any potential
2008 Coachmen Freelander Winterization
Our motorhome is fully winterized and protected every winter. All of the plumbing drains are in the very back
of this motorhome, so I park the motorhome on our sloped driveway
with the front of the motorhome up the hill. I then open all
the rear drains to the fresh water storage tank, and also the cold
and hot water lines. I then open all the sink faucets, shower
valves, and even depress the toilet flush valve and open the water
heater relief valve to break the system vacuum, thus allowing all
the water to fully drain out of the tanks and pipes. After all
the water is drained, I then hook up a compressed air line regulated
down top 30 pounds pressure to the motorhome water intake to fully
blow the lines dry of any water moisture. This motorhome also
has a special winterize feature that allows you to use your built in
water pump to suck RV antifreeze right from the RV antifreeze gallon
bottles. The water heater has a factory installed bypass kit,
which makes it very easy to winterize the RV with only one gallon of
RV antifreeze. I go ahead and bypass the water heater by
simply turning two valves at the back of the water heater, and close
all my open sink faucets, valves, and drains. I then connect a
short section of flexible plastic hose in a bottle of RV antifreeze
to the special winterize intake, next to my garden hose water
intake. I them go inside the motorhome, turn on the motorhome
electric pump switch, and open all facets, cold and hot, until you
get red RV antifreeze coming out into all of your drains and traps.
I then flush the toilet until I get red RV antifreeze coming into
the toilet. By the time I've gotten around to all the all the
faucets, shower valves, and toilet, I've used about one gallon of RV
antifreeze. I then put my plastic winterize hose in a new full
RV antifreeze bottle and pump about half a gallon of RV antifreeze
into my fresh water holding tank, and then I un-bypass my water
heater by changing the two valves at the back of the water heater
back, and pump the other half a gallon of RV antifreeze into my
water heater. Next year, when I arrive at my first RV
campground in the spring, I hookup to fresh water and simply run the
water shortly until I get clear water at each faucet. Please
know that my winterization ritual is considered overkill by many,
but I like to be thorough when it comes to maintenance of my
motorhome. If you don't winterize your RV properly, the water
in your system will freeze and expand during the winter, causing
your water pipes or water heater tank to crack open, causing a major
water leak, and costly repair bills. If you drain and blow out
your tanks and water lines with compressed air, you really don't
need to add RV antifreeze, or if you drain your tanks and lines and
pump in RV antifreeze, you really don't need to blow the lines out
with compressed air.
